THROUGHOUT DECEMBER, the Pálás Cinema will be dedicated to spreading Christmas cheer by delivering big screen outings to such festival favourites as Home Alone, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and Die Hard - and yes, Die Hard is a Christmas film.

FRIDAY SEES the return of Galway’s international visual arts festival, TULCA, with exhibitions in the An Post Gallery, Galway Arts Centre, Columban Hall, 126 Gallery, Nun’s Island Theatre, and Pálás Cinema.

Galway Community Pride will mark its 32nd year this month with a series of online, outdoor, and in person events to celebrate the LGBT+ community in the city and county.

GALWAY WILL continue its tradition of having the longest continually running Pride event in Ireland, with an array of events from Monday August 9 to Sunday 15.

IT HAS been a long time since we have been able to say “Let’s go out to the cinema this evening”, but this summer we can, and indeed being ‘out’ at the cinema - literally - will be the highlight of summer 2021 in the city.
